Torpey

Carlton signed Madison Torpey as an inactive replacement player just days before the 2025 pre-season officially commenced. At 184cm and possessing strong aerial ability, she has been part of the elite talent pathways throughout her junior career and now has earned her place at the elite level. Torpey’s development has been eye-catching, with her most impressive traits coming through in her competitive character and elite professionalism, qualities that saw her named captain of the Sandringham Dragons. Also at 20 years of age she fits the age profile of what is a Carlton midfield group that is set to emerge together in the coming years, including the likes of Abbie McKay (24), Mimi Hill (22), Keeley Sherar (21) and Sophie McKay (19). She was also named in the Victorian State Team earlier this year, which was another significant step in what has been a rapid growth in Torpey’s development over the last few years.
