Game Review
With captain-coach Ron Barassi back in charge on the field, the Blues got their season back on track with this 63-point demolition of North Melbourne at Princes Park. Jim 'Frosty' Miller bagged five majors for the Blues, while John Lloyd - the father of future Essendon captain (and less-than-impartial television commentator) Matthew Lloyd - played the first of his 29 games as a Bluebagger.
After this welcome win, Carlton was back in early-season finals contention in fifth place, with a healthy percentage of 131.73.
