He played 37 - 56 senior games with Melbourne and scored 1 goal.

Billy's information had been mixed up with Jack Bailey's info.
Only with the 2017 publication of Vol 5 of Origins of Australian Football have we realized there were two Baileys

1888. Consistent and reliable, as well as a brilliant place (kick?) man.

Played in the Carlton vs England match at the M.C.G. June 23 1888.

1889. One of the best players of the season, as a winger.

1893. Centre player.

1893. Took over the captaincy role when Danny Hutchison was not available and Charlie Coulson retired mid season.
