Bromley selected in the Carlton squad of 23 to play a pre-season match against Britannia Football Club at Princes Oval.

The Argus lists the name as Brumley.
Blueseum believes this to be a printing error and is Bromley.

1890 September 10 Wednesday
Carlton played South Melbourne in a mid-week charity match at the Sandhurst (Bendigo) Showgrounds.
Bromley was mentioned as one of Carlton's better players.
