2019 National Draft

Pick 17: Brodie Kemp, Bendigo Pioneers
Pick 20: Sam Philp, Northern Knights
Pick 47: Sam Ramsay*, Calder Cannons

The Blues had a fascinating Draft Night heading in to Season 2020. By swapping our Pick 9 - earlier mooted for a high profile trade with the Sydney Swans which fell through - for two later picks, the Blues were taking a risk that by 'splitting' we could maintain top end quality. The raps on Kemp were high, and Philp was a bit of a surprise; we shall see how these two young guns go.
